  Press & Information

The Press and Information Section compiles and distributes an "EU Perspectives",  a  fortnightly review of selected EU decisions and activities tailored to the South African reader. Please let us know if you wish to subscribe to this electronic two-page weekly publication. In addition, we publish our press releases and responses to locally published articles.

Publications: the Documentation Centre at our premises in Groenkloof, Pretoria, is open to the public from 09h00 – 12h00 and from 14h00 – 16h00, Mondays to Thursdays (with the exception of public holidays). We stock numerous recent publications, including periodic reports , on the Delegation's activities in South Africa and the region.

Funding: with regard to funding opportunities for civil society, we refer you to the relevant guidelines and procedures, as neither the Press and Information, nor any other section of the Delegation deals with such requests. With reference to tertiary and vocational training, the Delegation oversees no bursary/scholarship programme and thus no such requests can be processed.

Media: media requests are dealt with by email at Delegation-s-africa@ec.europa.eu, or by contacting the Delegation at +27 12-452-5200 (phone), +27 12-460-9923 (fax) and making reference to the Press Office.

EU and its Member States: we provide a general overview of what the European Union consists of and what it does. Also, we provide information on, and contact details for, the representations of the 27 EU Member States,

Website: finally, the Press & Information Section is responsible for the administration of this website. Please feel free to share with us your comments on, or any suggestions you might have for, our website.
