JUNIOR ASSISTANT - PRESS OFFICE

The Delegation of the European Commission to SA is looking for a dynamic assistant  to its Press and Information Officer, at its Delegation in Pretoria.

Tasks include amongst others:

• General secretarial duties, including screening of phone calls, dealing with the media, correspondence etc;

• Assist Press and Information Officer with the organisation of events, projects launches and visits;

• Keeping record of all information and communication activities organised by the Delegation;

• Review and distribution of press articles and other documentation;

• Responsibility for promotional material;

• Organisation of the Delegation's mailing lists.

Requirements:

Appropriate qualifications, including a secretarial qualification; energetic, hard-working person with initiative and strong sense of responsibility, with at least 2 years relevant work experience. Computer literacy, including a good working knowledge of MS Access, Word, Excel and Outlook. Fluency in English and experience in the media sector would be beneficial.
